This website design for Plastic Surgery Associates of Lynchburg was a part of a total marketing transformation for the company. In order to fit in with the rest of their advertising campaign I worked with Dayrich Enterprises to develop a neutral, soothing design for this Flash based website. Tans, browns and creams make up the color palette, which allow the stock photos of models to pop against the neutral background. Fading transitions ease the viewer from page to page, and a pop-up navigation bar keeps the site organized. The before and after photo gallery shows past clients’ results, while an interactive contact form allows viewers to get in touch with the company.

St. John’s Church is modern parish located in a beautiful church off Rivermont Avenue in Lynchburg’s Historic District. From a new logo to a customized photo gallery, the St. John’s website received a complete makeover. As a site with 20+ pages, St. John’s had a lot of content and some of it needed to be reorganized. Instead of one long navigation menu, there are drop-down tabs for eight core menu items. A Content Management System allows the leaders at St. John’s to update the content of the site on their own schedule. Wine red, olive green and a golden yellow are accent colors used throughout this clean white design.

James T. Davis has been a Lynchburg business for more than 70 years. The company has continually evolved into the modern paint resource that it is today, and they needed a website to reflect that. We updated from the previous colors of teal and soft red to brighter and more eye-catching shades of blue with red and white accents. The company offers many products and services, and so the website is built to accommodate a large amount of text and photo content. The FAQ feature allows customers to interact with employees, asking questions and gaining painting tips and tricks. This project was a collaboration with Dayrich Enterprises.

This is the second splash page design I have done for dmfoto. A few years ago we came up with the above ‘Before’ design (see the original here), and this winter they decided to update the page again. The new look is softer and really focuses on the images, which of course is the point of a photography website. Check out the splash page design in action to see the rollover effects and pops of color live.

This design was done for Kidd’s Cleaning & Restoration Services. The blue, red and yellow are signature colors of the company that they wanted to portray in a clean, professional manner. The logo was also original to the business and was not altered.

The Blue Ridge Photographic Arts Society (BRPAS) is a local arts group dedicated to fine photography. As a member of BRPAS and a supporter of the arts, I donated the time spent on this project. The logo is also my design, picked as the winner of a BRPAS Logo Contest. Each month the winning image of the Monthly Photo Contest is displayed prominently on the Home page of the site to showcase the various artistic talents of the group.

I first designed Vance‘s portfolio site a few years ago. As his career has progressed we have made a few updates to the site as well. The current site is slightly more polished and contains more well-organized content. A rotating head shot grabs your attention on the Home page, followed by recent news and updates. Other pages showcase his acting resume, writing skills, photos and head shots, and various social media contact information.

Baker’s Kitchen is a wedding and specialty cake bakery in Richmond, Va. I first encountered Baker’s Kitchen at my sister-in-law’s wedding, and contacted them soon after. With so many gorgeous cakes to display, photos were a high priority in the design of this site. The client had also recently ordered new business cards, which is where much of the inspiration for the color and the logo were derived from. I love the whimsical and sweet quality of this site- perfect for such a great bakery!

Royce Overton at Computer Rescue contacted me after coming across another site I had designed in the same industry. Because I promise each of my clients a unique, individual site design, the challenge with this site was to create a look that was reminiscent of the design Royce liked, but with its own distinct personality. The red and white and blue colors came from the owner’s unusual vehicle: and ambulance converted into a computer repair truck, which also serves as a moving billboard for the company. The logo was recreated based on a previously existing logo, with a few embellishments.

Campaign to Save Honor is a group dedicated to revitalizing and improving the Honor System at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. The colors for this design were an easy pick, going with UVA’s Orange and Navy Blue color scheme. The group had a significant amount of text that needed to be included in the site, so we used limited photos and created a clean and organized structure for the textual content.

All About Family was referred to me through another client, and we seemed immediately to be a great match to work together. President Dianne Inman recognized that their site was failing to compete with other businesses in their industry, so we set out to remedy that. With the client willing to start from scratch, the first element of this design was a new logo. To go with the simple, sleek logo we chose to work with a brighter, sunnier color palette. Choosing stock photos that tied in with both the colors and the content of the site was instrumental in completing the look. After the addition of a Site Map and some SEO work, the All About Family website is now well equipped and able to contend with competing companion care agencies.
