Today’s find is a handy tool for configuring website layouts. Design Shack recently posted a helpful article on website layouts featuring Flexie. Flexie offers support for the Flexible Box Model, a CSS3 tool that may just be the future foundation of website layouts. Much like tables are a layout tool of the past, today’s use of the ‘float’ attribute may soon be behind us as well.

Tips & Tricks: CSS3 PIE
Wednesday, May 11th, 2011
In the ongoing battle of the browsers, Internet Explorer, especially IE6, continues to be the thorn in the side of web designers everywhere. The web design industry is constantly evolving and changing for the better; HTML5 and CSS3 are both the newest (and most capable) versions of the web coding languages. Desktop Wallpaper: Spring
Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011Spring is officially here, and the weather could not be more beautiful in Virginia. Daffodils, seedlings and a leggy spider make up this collection of images, each of which meets my own rigorous background photo criteria.
Food for Thought: Granola
Friday, March 18th, 2011Food is fuel that keeps you going during the work day, and is vital to the design process. It’s difficult to work on an empty stomach, or to disrupt your work flow with constant snack breaks. Easting healthy, filling foods will help keep your belly satisfied and your mind focused.
Today’s recipe is for granola that can be customized to fit your preferences. The granola pictured is a version without the optional fruit or baking chip add-ins; I like to add those later depending on how I’m eating my granola. The recipe is also flexible in terms of the core ingredients- you can use whatever nuts and grains you have on hand in place of the listed ingredients. Read on for the recipe below.
