With the rise in popularity of drones and aerial photography and videography, Ben Clark has taken a childhood hobby and transformed it into a business. Imagery and video footage captured from the drone are the focus of this site. A slideshow of videos makes up the Portfolio page, and each additional page features a stunning shot of local scenery. A white background with pops of green and blue keep the design simple but effective. This site is fully responsive.

A graduatate from W&L Law School, Killis is proud of his education and his proven success in the courts. The muted golds, reds and black in this design give the site a serious look.
Davies & Davies
Law Firm Website - Lynchburg, VA
Jonathan and Peter Davies decided to move away from a template website and were in search of a more personal design. As Lynchburg natives, their location in the Allied Arts Building downtown is a point of pride for the company. Starting with photography, I designed a clean and inviting site that showcases the background of the law firm and the range of services offered. The site is fully responsive, and mobile users will quickly find the information they need without waiting for large photos to load.
Bakery Website - Richmond, VA
Baker’s Kitchen is a Wedding and Special Events Bakery in Richmond, Va. As a wedding photographer in Richmond I had worked with (and sampled cakes from) this bakery numerous times before they came to me for a website. The main target market for Baker’s Kitchen is brides and other event planners, the majority of whom are women. This website was redesigned in 2015 to better reflect the sophisticated elegance of the bakery. A new photo gallery, to showcase their beautiful cakes, adds the finishing touches to the site.

Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra
Non-profit Website - Lynchburg, VA
The Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit organization that brings art and culture to our community. Their wonderful volunteer staff was a pleasure to work with on this project. The new LSO site first and foremost showcases the upcoming events of the symphony. Viewers can quickly and easily purchase tickets and make donations to support the symphony. LSO musicians have access to a private page for their communication with the Board, and sponsors are highlighted with an interactive flip display. The design is elegant but updated, which matches the fresh and talented abilities of the orchestra itself.
Lactation Health Resources, Inc.

Classic Cars Website - Lynchburg, VA
With an extensive amount of content and a clear idea of what they wanted the site to look like, eClassic owners Bob and Donna Boberg were a fun couple to work with. This site showcases their second careers as classic car experts. Original photos and articles featuring car shows across the country are carefully organized in this busy but functional website. Several customized plugins provide an interactive Events calendar, a custom Blog and both Photo and Video Galleries. The design is a continuation of their logo, with a carefully put together layout that invites users to check out all of the various content. Classic cars never looked so good!
The Education & Research Foundation, Inc.
Medical Research Website - Lynchburg, VA
One of the unique challenges of this project was creating one website that speaks to two different audiences. The Education & Research Foundation needed a site that would present detailed information for pharmaceutical companies and sponsors, while also offering current study information for potential participants. To do this we created a jQuery splash page that offers the viewer two options. The site is meticulously organized to avoid confusion for either audience, and features two different but coordinating color palettes. There is also a simplified mobile version of the site, that allows participants especially to quickly access necessary information on the go.

Thomas S. Leebrick, P.C.
Law Firm Website - Lynchburg, VA
Tom Leebrick has been practicing law in Lynchburg for many years, but the firm was in need of a new website to represent their business. The client wanted to incorporate his worn leather briefcase in the design, so I took original photos of the briefcase and the building to use on the site. The blues and browns with some gold tones present a professional and approachable practice. Though it is a small site, it allows potential clients to learn the background of the law firm and what services they offer. The overall design includes a simple layout with well-placed gradients and photos to keep the viewer's attention.

Paul Childrey, owner and founder of PAC-Technologies, is a mechanical engineer with an interest in entrepreneurship. His company offers specialized prototyping and scale models for personal and industrial use. There are photos of the company's work throughout the site, as well as descriptions of services offered by PAC-Technologies.
Light of Mine Designs
Retail E-Commerce Website - Lynchburg, VA
This project was my second collaboration with Amy Calandra. The previous design boasted lots of pastels and childhood whimsey; we kept this idea, but added some grown-up texture and layering to better speak to the target audience. Amy’s own tastes and influence can be seen clearly in the results of this collaboration; I love the look and think it fits really well with her product designs. The new website also includes a new logo design, which uses a flowing script font tweaked to include stars, another element from the previous design. The site is hosted on a secure server for accepting online payments and includes an integrated e-commerce storefront.
Pathology Consultants of Central Virginia, Inc.
Medical Website - Lynchburg, VA
This site was a collaboration with Dayrich Enterprises. As a relatively small website, Pathology Consultants serves as a resource for patients and doctors in the area. Their site offers information about the company, as well as various links and resources for existing and potential clients. To make working with Pathology Consultants even more convenient, we have included a quick and easy contact form on the website, as well as the option for Online Bill Pay. By partnering with Authorize.net, we are able to provide secure payment processing with ease. This project has successfully created a well-designed and informative web presence for a company that had none previously.
The Vintage Junkie
Retail Jewelry E-Commerce Website - Lynchburg, VA
Amy Calandra is a talented local artist and The Vintage Junkie, a collection of re-purposed vintage jewelry and accessories, is her second business venture. With her eye for design, Amy had a lot of input in the creative production of this website. The soft colors and textured background contribute to the shabby-chic look that was the artist's vision. Many of the graphics in the header of the page are either original creations, or stock illustrations that have been altered significantly. The site is hosted on a secure server for accepting online payments and includes an integrated e-commerce storefront where products are sorted and sold by category.
Elizabeth A. Cook, M.D.
Author Website - Lynchburg, VA
Elizabeth Cook is a practicing physician turned author. With her first novel, Dirty Wounds, Cook combines a passion for storytelling with her technical background as a hospital doctor. The website we created is designed to complement the book cover, as well as provide information and reviews to potential readers. A color palette of moody blues sets the tone for this mystery thriller, and a simple layout allows the book to be the focal point. The novel is available for sale on the website, which is set up with a simple PayPal checkout system.
Acting Coach Website - Brooklyn, NY
Sarah was a referral through Vance Barber, whom she met while working together in New York. Sarah's image for her site was inspired by the bright colors and open layout of Vance's site. With her guidance I developed a bright, cheery design that is not so overwhelming as to be unprofessional. As an actress, I knew that Sarah's name was a key branding element, so I took a modified version of the logo we developed and used it as the background of the site. The Home page features scrolling testimonials using a jQuery slider that allows the text to remain selectable, for the benefit of both viewers and search engines.
Shear Image Salon & Boutique
Hair Salon & Boutique Website - Midlothian, VA
When I met with Shear Image they knew right away the look they were going for in the shop. With a pink and black color scheme in mind, we created a swirly and sophisticated logo for the shop which was met with much enthusiasm. One of the functions this site needed to serve was showcasing new and seasonal products from the boutique. By customizing an open source photo gallery, I was able to integrate a way for the client to add and manage photos of products on their own at any time. With a brief history of the salon on the Home page and profiles of the stylists on the Staff page, the site paints a sweet and accurate portrait of the shop.
Quality Calibrations, Inc.
Pipette Repair & Calibration Website - Deale, MD
Quality Calibrations, Inc. is a company that calibrates and repairs medical equipment for hospitals and universities in the Maryland/D.C. area. After several years with our original design, QCI underwent a small makeover this July. We kept the clean, white site but moved away from the old logo and changed the color palette. The new look includes updated photos and information about the company as well. The client came to us with a new logo, which is incorporated into the design. New business cards and printed materials were also created to go with the new website. This site is hosted by GetCreative and includes a detailed PHP contact form.
